Children from Pioneer Primary School got a chance to finish their school week on a positive and cheerful note, with fun interesting stories to take home to share with their friends and families. Wimpy ran a competition with Free 4 All, a South African school newspaper aimed at entertaining and educating the youth, and one lucky winner from Pioneer Primary School got the chance to meet ‘Mr Strong’, his favourite Mr Men character.

The Free 4 All readers were given the opportunity to complete a flow chart and SMS their favourite Mr Men and Little Miss character’s name, which automatically ensured the participants a spot in the lucky draw. The prize was a Wimpy hamper that included a Mr Bump wallet and watch set, Mr Bump large plush doll, a full set of six Wimpy Mr Men and Little Miss activity books as well as a full set of Wimpy Mr Men and Little Miss figurines.

Wimpy Benoni, together with Just Imagine Consulting and Mr Men characters, Little Miss Sunshine and Mr Strong, visited Pioneer Primary School to award Zahraa Bahamjee, a grade 3 pupil, with his prize from the competition.  “We are very pleased to award Zahraa Bahamjee this prize for taking his time to read Free 4 All, as well as taking time to enter the competition.  The smile on his face when we announced his name was priceless” said Karabo Morudu Wimpy
Brand Manager.
